St. Petersburg metro station Vasileostrovskaya has been opened after major upgrade. Vasilieostrovskaya was under repairs for almost 11 months. Escalators were completely replaced along with water protection shields and insulation. Passenger hall now features new wall tiles, windows and entry doors.
New cashier kiosks have been constructed together with dedicated security checks area to insure passenger's safety. Fare collection gates were updated with a newest model UT-96m manufactured by CJSC ELSY. New gate among other features allow commuters to use PayPass enabled bank card to pay fare.
