At the moment each of 72 metro stations is fitted with only one passenger gate that supports PayPas fare payment but according to managing director of St. Petersburg metro Vladimir Garyugin, they are working towards updating all passenger gates with new technology in the near future.
ELSY ltd has been an integral part of this new development and helped to integrate PayPass payment technology into existing passenger gates UT-96 and UT-2000.9 and fare collection system.
